The Unasked Question

June 15, 2009

There is one question that is essential to the success of any endeavor, project, or plan, but it rarely gets asked.  It’s sad, really, as this question elicits passion and excitement and a unique ownership for the outcome that no one else can claim.

Describing success, rather than just stating a goal, requires the passion and commitment to embrace a vision.  It goes beyond an endpoint of a goal to define the affect of that goal on our stakeholders and ourselves.  In doing so, it drives engagement and alignment of all members of an organization to a shared vision.
